Responsibilities

What You Will Do

  • Develop antenna upgrade construction drawings.
  • Perform structural analyses of antenna supporting structures.
  • Prepare and review mapping reports.
  • Review drawings for structural consistency and completeness.
  • Understand municipal permitting and zoning requirements including NYC DOB & FDNY.
  • Attend site walks to obtain necessary structural information.
  • Conduct Special Inspections required by NYC DOB.

Competencies 

  • Keep Track of Time on Projects/Training/Meetings/Etc.
  • Work with Structural Department Program Manager on training and development
  • Complete company required training /policy reviews in a timely manner

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear
  • The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
  • The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Qualifications

What You Will Need

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer Certificate required.
  • AWS Certified Welding Inspector (AWS-CWI) required.
  • ICC Structural Steel and Bolting Certification required.
  • 2-5 Years of structural work experience.
  • Experience using AutoCAD for structural detailing.
  • Experience with structural analysis modeling software.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office programs.

  Travel 

  • Travel to local sites for job experience may be required. Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some projects may require overnight travel.

Expected compensation includes $85k to $110k as an annual salary and benefits including medical, vision, and dental benefits, and 401k retirement plan available for eligible employees. Compensation offered may vary depending on factors such as an individual’s education, training, experience, skills, geographic location, seniority, merit, and other factors that are job related and consistent with business need.
