Job Summary

The Project Manager will lead the project management for commercial construction projects. Projects are centered around electrical infrastructure supporting customer’s requirements. Responsibilities include client meetings, project planning, equipment selection and logistics, on-site management, and project closeouts. Ideal candidate would have solid construction management experience and strong experience dealing with customers in the commercial electrical industry.

Responsibilities

What You Will Do

  • Refine the scope of work and detail subcontracts
  • Manage multiple projects in various stages of activities
  • Prepare and monitor project budgets, scope, and schedule
  • Develop project schedule and monitor/update as the project progresses
  • Provide technical interpretation of design documents in support of installation superintendents and tradespeople
  • Provide specific expertise and critical thinking for problem-solving
  • Provide technical evaluation of subcontractor and equipment proposals
  • Monitor and inspect construction to ensure compliance with design documents.
  • Coordinate completion of construction activities.
  • Prepare punch list to ensure the readiness of systems for turnover to the client.
  • Prepare customer proposals and project change orders

Qualifications

What You Will Need

  • 3-10 year’s experience in construction project management with understanding in commercial electricial systems
  • Journeyman or Master electrician a plus OR seasoned electrical Project Manager
  • Ability to read, and understand the scope of work and engineering design drawings
  • Leadership and organization skills
  • Knowledge of construction safety, policies, and procedures, with field experience a plus.
  • Strong communication skills in customer-facing settings
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Office
  • Preferred: Local Boston construction market

 

Location

Candidate must live in, or relatively close to, the North Andover, MA area. This is a remote role with possibility of driving into Boston market during the week.

Travel

  • Up to 50%+ local travel
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and be insurable under the company insurance policy.
