Responsibilities

Senior Construction Manager Construction Management experience required. Job Type: Full-time Leaf Communications is seeking an experienced Senior Construction Manager (SCM)/ RME to direct day-to-day construction operations for the companies projects in the State of Colorado.

As a Senior Construction Manager, you will manage projects and technicians on behalf of the company while they are engaged in the construction, installation, and in-service testing of all project-related Telecom communications systems. The SCM/ RME will be responsible for overseeing the project through permitting, construction, quality control, testing, and close out process of all the affected communication networks associated with the project being managed. Construction Manager/ RME Responsibilities:

  • Review construction drawings and work closely with the A&E dept and design engineers, general contractors, and project team to complete projects on time and within budget.
  • Obtain and keep in good standing all licenses, state and locally required to allow the company to operate and install ERRCS/ Enterprise Carrier DAS throughout the state of CO.
  • Directly manage Field Teams conducting cellular and or ERRCS deployments/installations and performs tasks such as bid walks, pre-construction, quality control and safety adherence
  • Coordinate and input, as needed, with GC and sub-contractors providing services and infrastructure for the project
  • Monitor and ensure schedule performance and quality workmanship of technicians
  • Review change proposals, proposal requests, requests for information, supplemental instructions, and other contract documentation as required on behalf of the companies’ interests
  • Attend local meetings, approval meetings, and conferences on behalf of the company; documenting and taking action on items in the companies’ interests
  • Maintain relationships and act as the companies’ liaison in matters associated with Federal, State, and Municipal matters, including the City's permitting and inspection requirements
  • Serve as an information resource by coordinating client's work, participating in meetings, resolving disputes, providing ongoing feedback, coordinating project punch list, logistics/material management and close-out
  • Update the companies’ online project management tool
  • Review and maintain the company’s document depository system Job Requirements

Qualifications

Construction Manager Requirements:

  • 5 years of directly related leadership experience with construction background, Telecom or general contractor experience, preferred
  • Experience constructing ERRCS, enterprise carrier, and other DAS related projects for various companies.
  • Strong technical knowledge of various AHJs construction standards
  • Strong consultative, organizational, and communication skills
  • Previous site management experience as well as experience maintaining a good relationship with the client and suppliers
  • Hands-on experience with directing the activities of contractors and crews for mechanical, electrical, civil, and structural construction in an industrial telecom setting
  • Ability to read engineering drawings • Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and Projects

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, use hands to finger/handle/feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, talk or hear. Occasionally the work requires the employee to walk, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Frequently the employee is required to lift or carry up to 10 or 25 lbs., and occasionally up to 50 or 100 lbs. Able to climb to and work at standard heights of 12-24’ either on ladders or scissor lifts. The employee needs to have good vision for close work, distance, color discrimination, peripheral, and depth perception.

Travel:

 

Must posses a valid driver's license and be insurable under the company insurance policy

The pay range for this position in Colorado is $60-75K; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience (in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered). This information is provided per the Colorado Equal Pay Act. Base pay information is based on the market location.
