Job Summary

The Warehouse Specialist will manage the oversight, organization, stocking, and distribution of all inbound and outbound products, as well as all other day to day tasks.  The position is part of our Technical Services Division and works with our team responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating all construction activities.

Responsibilities

What You Will Do

  • Responsible for all shipping and receiving functions; load, unload and move materials and supplies within the warehouse area; operate a forklift to move heavy material from trucks and in the yard
  • Maintain safety compliance with equipment operations to include but not limited to forklifts, pallet jacks and powered electric jacks. 
  • Collect and kit all staging materials (kitting) for daily telecom projects as requested
  • Track and cycle count to ensure that stock levels are accurate
  • Keep management apprised of any delays, discrepancies, unsafe working conditions, vehicle or stockroom irregularities or maintenance issues
  • Manage effective utilization of equipment and vehicle assets
  • Maintain a clean, organized and safe stockroom and yard
  • Transport vehicles needing work to and from maintenance sites
  • Collaborate with management to strive for continuous improvement including efficiency and cost savings initiatives across all areas of warehouse operations
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

What You Will Need

  • Previous experience performing material handing activities in the telecom field in construction is a plus
  • Experience working a forklift, boom and jack highly desired.  Must be able to operate this equipment within the first three months in a safe manner as trained.
  • Able to work independently and be self-motivated as this position is autonomous in nature
  • Must possess and continue to possess a valid driver's license, and DOT Physical 
  • Forklift certified required
  • Knowledge of materials handling equipment and procedures.
  • Ability to use hand and power tools applicable to trade.
  • Knowledge of light equipment operation and/or maintenance.
  • Knowledge of basic vehicle inspection and maintenance including tire pressure, checking oil and water levels.
  • Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures.
  • High School Diploma required
  • Hours of this position are generally 6:00a-3:00p with more overtime available. This is an autonomous position reporting to the COO in the Nashua NH office. 

Work Environment

  • Ability to lift, from floor to above head 50 lbs continuously
  • Ability to sit, stand, climb, kneel, bend, lift, crawl, squat, reach and utilize both hands and feet. Environmental Conditions exposure is heat, cold, dust, wet, vibration and possible loud noises
  • Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions. Ability to work outside and in a warehouse in all types of weather conditions; exposure is heat, cold, dust, wet, vibration and very loud noise.
