Responsibilities

 

 

Position Summary

  • The Electrical Site Supervisor is responsible for the scheduling, coordinating, daily reporting, and supervising of all onsite electrical subcontractors and employees for assigned projects. Work consists of installing, altering, and repairing electrical systems and equipment associated with commercial electrical construction projects.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide overall administration and technical management of the onsite project team.
  • Responsible for overseeing the installation and electrical construction of network elements inside and outside the plant environment as well as at the customer site.
  • Provide planning, recommendations, and work guidance in support of productivity, within the electrical construction environment.
  • Suggestion to replace- Plan and schedule projects, estimate time and materials, supervise subordinates, maintain records and files and prepare reports
  • Responsible for supervising the activities of the electrical construction team with responsibility for some financial and/or operational results to include planning, organizing, coordinating, and controlling the activities of the onsite team.
  • Translate individual operational goals into team goals.
  • Provide technical advice and subject matter expertise across multiple electrical construction projects.
  • Contribute to the development of new concepts, techniques, and standards.
  • Regularly interact with the project management team.

Ensure Maicom safety, company standards, and policies are met by team members in the daily performance of tasks.

  • Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing team of technicians while driving change to meet Maicom ’s strategic business goals.
  • Responsible for the oversight of all day-to-day functions of the team including work map design review, quality performance, and time reporting.
  • Provide technical assistance and communicate technical information and status to the project management team.
  • Coach and develop (Mentor) a team to have a sense of urgency in providing on-time performance as well as quality products for Maicom ’s customers.
  • Adopt an “extreme ownership” methodology for taking responsibility for all projects, to ensure that they are accomplished with high quality, extreme urgency, and budget assurance.
  • Supervisory level responsibility for collaboration with contractors, engineers, architects during planning and development process.
  • Act as an advisor and or expert to subordinates for elevated issues and problems.
  • Identify appropriate resources needed and work with the department manager to develop plan schedules.
  • Act as a team lead within the department and delegates work to team members.
  • Work with the department manager throughout the hiring process for new hires as well as help with the retention of current team members.
  • Performs all other related duties as assigned.

 

Physical Demands:

Ability to sit, stand, climb, kneel, bend, lift, crawl, squat, reach, and utilize both hands and feet in an aerial and underground capacity. Drive and operate a vehicle, and/or bucket. Environmental conditions: exposure to heat, cold, dust, wet, vibration, and very loud noises. Requires the ability to sit for extended periods, stand, bend, walk, communicate via telephone, computer, and/or face-to-face contact, vision to monitor, and use basic office equipment such as a personal computer, copier, and fax machines regularly during work. Work is performed in and out of an office environment.

 

 

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

  • This is a full-time exempt position. 
  • Days of work are Monday through Friday.
  • Some evenings may be required.

 

Travel:

  • Travel exceeding 75%+
  • Travel to other markets as needed.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and be insurable under the company insurance policy.

Qualifications

 

Competencies:

  • Time management and keen organization skills required.
  • Previous experience managing direct reports and/or indirect reports required.
  • Previous experience in commercial electrical construction preferred.
  • Data Center UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) experience preferred.

 

Required Education and Experience:

  • Five years of relevant work experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, specifically Outlook and Excel required.
  • Established recent work history as an Electrical Superintendent on commercial electrical construction projects.
  • OSHA 30 certification

The pay range for this position in California is $80,000-105,000 Per Year However, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience (in addition to medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered). This information is provided per the California Equal Pay Act. Base pay information is based on the market location.
