Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Perform monthly reconciliations of bank accounts and general ledger accounts.
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Prepare journal entries and ensure proper documentation and approvals.
- Analyze financial data and provide insights to management regarding trends and variances.
- Assist with audits by providing necessary documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies.
- Collaborate with other departments to support overall business objectives.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and changes in accounting regulations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 2+ years of experience in accounting or finance; previous experience in a similar role is a plus.
- Proficiency in accounting software (Sage is a plus) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- CPA certification or progress towards certification is a plus.
- Experience with construction accounting is a plus.
- Amenable to work on-site, graveyard shift.
- Can start ASAP.
