Job Summary

Centerline is seeking is a DAS Technician Level II for DAS installation projects in the New York/New Jersey Metro Region. The DAS Technician is responsible for developing and deploying the successful implementation of DAS Construction projects.

Qualifications

What You Will Need

  • Must have experience adhering to schedules, following instructions, self-performing duties and working with professionalism with team members, clients, contractors, and vendors.
  • 2-4 years DAS/telecom experience
  • Must be reliable, be on time daily
  • Must maintain a clean background driving record. Drug testing at the discretion of Centerline Communications.
  • Desire to expand knowledge base and skills through on-site training as well as training by various manufacturers, trainers, contractors, and team members
  • Must meet minimum technical proficiency requirements, basic understanding of Outlook, Microsoft Word, and Excel
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-motivated; exhibits initiative in achieving company goals and objectives
  • Basic leadership skills and ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks
  • Able to work independently or in a team environment
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Flexibility with ever-changing environments and priorities. Ability to work multiple shifts and away from home
  • Ability to lift, squat, climb ladders, work above head, lift/maneuver up to 100lbs, stand/walk for long periods.
  • Accepts and provides constructive feedback
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Must be organized with a strong attention to detail, self-starter, and team player
  • Ability to work outside in all elements, including but not limited to snow, rain, and varying temperatures.
  • Ability to maintain a safe work environment
  • Ability to lift, squat, climb ladders, work above head, lift/maneuver up to 75lbs, stand/walk for long periods
  • Ability to read and understand construction drawings
  • Ability to install coax cable, fiber optic cable, power cable, etc.
  • Ability to terminate coax cable and power cable.
  • Strong understanding of RF theory
  • Able to work, with minimal direction, for installations and maintenance of DAS Systems
  • Ability to operate coax test gear (Anritsu Sweep & PIM) and interpret test results.
  • Ability to troubleshoot coax cable with test gear (Anritsu Sweep & PIM) to achieve passing results
  • Ability to correctly set-up, test, and review coax test results.
  • Ability to produce coax reports.
  • Ability to work with a variety of DAS equipment manufactures
  • Ability to troubleshoot fiber optic issues with minimal direction
  • Ability to lead crews on smaller installations/maintenance jobs.
  • Ability to train junior techs on all aspects of DAS
  • Ability to program IP addresses in DAS equipment/NOC integrations
  • Ability to perform small upgrades such as American Tower Cat 2 with minimum supervision
  • Always ensure safety, including all aspects of PPE per the Centerline Safety Program Guidelines

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Skills sets are not limited to the above list of responsibilities but would be considered a minimum recommendation to consider achieving a set goal to further your knowledge and reach a Level III Technician Status.
