Job Summary:

We’re seeking an experienced Telecom Project Manager to lead the construction of telecom networks in the Maine market. This role involves overseeing end-to-end project execution, managing budgets and timelines, coordinating teams, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. We are looking for someone with proven telecom network construction experience. strong leadership and project management skills. and nowledge of OSP/ISP processes and Maine’s telecom infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day to day resources and projects to completion with ultimate responsibility, ensuring that all activities, including site acquisition, regulatory, construction, and permitting are coordinated and completed on time and within budget.
  • Travel to multiple job sites in and out of the state, meet with customers, review projects, and prepare estimates for RFQ’s for customers.
  • Build a respected team; track and manage reviews with assistance from HR and direct manager. Have direct impact on the growth in staffing, revenue, and customers in the region.
  • Develop accurate project plan and budget for all assigned projects, modify as needed and direct close-out of completed jobs including the receipt of all required documentation.
  • Develop SOP procedures and best practices including written protocols and guidance to contractors.
  • Lead internal deployment meetings with other managers and team members to review the status of each job and implement changes as necessary to ensure timely project completion.
  • Lead and attend customer meetings to provide customer with comprehensive job status reports and resolve any conflicts or issues that arise.
  • Ensure accurate and complete files are maintained for all projects and appropriate close-out documents are distributed in a timely manner in accordance with corporate and customer expectations.
  • Work closely with Senior Management and directly engage customers and partners.
  • Ensure that all jobs are maintained in a project tracking system (Bid2Win) with complete accuracy.
  • Create, assemble, and verify documentation for billing.
  • Ability to work with a variety of personnel, provide leadership, guidance, and actively train and promote learning to develop a successful Team atmosphere.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience in the telecommunications, or related industry
  • 8-10yrs of project management experience with 3+ years specific to telecom
  • Strong MS Office, and Visio desirable
  • Bin2Win and Foundation a plus

Other Skills/Abilities

  • Advanced knowledge of telecommunications.
  • Ability to work with heavily matrixed organization and teams efficiently and effectively
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints.
  • Ability to direct the diagnosis of workflow problems, critical paths, and institute remedies.
  • Ability to read and understand financial metrics and identify remedies to financial issues.
  • Customer service orientation with a strong problem-solving approach.
  • Must have excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to take direction and implement action.
  • Present professional image always.
  • Valid drivers license; be able to pass and continue to pass a drug screen. Must be able to pass and continue to pass a DOT Physical.
  • Willingness to travel; overnights as required.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

Requires the ability to sit for extended periods, stand, bend, walk, communicate via telephone, computer and/or face-to-face contact, vision to monitor, and use basic office equipment such as a personal computer, copier, and fax machines regularly during work. Must be required to operate vehicle for Company business. Work is performed in and out of an office environment. Must be able to work outside in all types of weather.
