What Will You Do

We are seeking a Operations/Sales Manager for the In-building Public Safety  with experience or education in selling services to grow our presence and market responsiveness in a given market. This position is a good mix of business development and transactional sales with a salary leveraged against closed sale performance and requires an independent and entrepreneurial minded candidate to be considered. Customers will include major wireless carriers, original equipment manufacturers in the space, third-party DAS operators, system integrators and low-voltage installation firms. The ideal candidate will have experience selling engineering services, have a basic understanding of radio frequency (RF) principles and/or electrical engineering and be comfortable working independently out of a home office. Candidate must be comfortable with outside sales and making cold-calls and/or visits to potential new customers in their market. Reports to the Vice President of Sales.

  • A business management, communications, IT, engineering degree or master’s degree in marketing or an MBA is a plus.
  • Create trusted cost budgets based on takeoffs from design documents for material, equipment and labor for all projects.
  • Establish operational cost control processes for materials and labor to ensure optimal operations.
  • Create a culture of accountability and instill professionalism into the organization
  • Rebuild customer relationships and become a trusted & valued partner
  • Regularly attend regional and national industry events.
  • Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Must be comfortable speaking extemporaneously to a crowd and participating in industry events.
  • Must present themselves in a professional and ethical manner at all times.
  • Must have education or experience in sales or sales engineering. DAS and Small Cell industry experience is a preferred.
  • Public safety radio system experience is a plus.
  • Existing industry contacts in the region are a plus.

 

This is a salaried position and the range for this role is 130,000-150,000

 

 

Travel

  • Travel to customer locations within the city to present services as required.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and be insurable under the company insurance policy.
