Job Summary:

This full-time working Crew Lead position will oversee general construction activities being performed on sites, ensuring safety & quality are first and foremost.

What Will You Do

Responsibilities

  • Crew Leads are responsible for safety and efficiency on Civil & DC construction projects. This includes daily oversight of the crew members, equipment, vehicles and tools.
  • Crew Leads report to the Project Manager, assisting the company with meeting projected goals, developing team, improving work methods, building up and maintaining positive morale, upkeep of vehicles and equipment.
  • Consistent and thorough project detail communication between you and others (verbal & written) using excellent problem-solving and communication skills
  • MUST have excellent problem-solving and communication skills with a high attention to detail and a commitment to follow-through
  • Working knowledge and understanding of construction management tools such as Procore or HCSS.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite applications.
  • Experience working in remote construction environments.
  • Strong working knowledge of safety protocols and regulatory compliance
  • Assist with organization of project details, pre, during, and post project
  • Maintain positive morale of crew, escalating relevant matters as needed.
  • Drive truck and trailer (with equipment) to jobsite as needed
  • Participating in preventative maintenance of equipment truck, trailer, rental equipment, hand tools, power tools, etc.
  • Inventory Control tasks
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

What You Will Need

  • Qualifications

    • Proven record of safely working around utilities
    • Minimum 2 yrs experience as first line supervisor of people.
    • Minimum 5 yrs experience in telecommunication Civil & DC construction projects knowledge a plus
    • Class A CDL with Air Brake preferred (Not required), along with DOT Medical Certification.
    • Willingness to assume duties as designated by Project Manager
    • Ability to treat others well and help to create positive work environments for all
    • Care of company supplied equipment, laptop, phone, truck, tools, etc.
