Job Summary

The Engineering Manager will be responsible for managing individuals who are responsible for performing structural analyses and designs for telecommunications sites. The right candidate will also be required to review engineering drawings and designs to ensure adherence to established specifications and standards. Regional travel to conduct site visits to gather structural information (including but not limited to, measuring, and providing field sketches) will be required from time to time.

What Will You Do

  • Supervise and manage a team of engineers.
  • Review structural as-built drawings and mapping reports.
  • Review preliminary design drawings to determine structural scope required.
  • Perform structural analyses of antenna supporting structures.
  • Create complex structural designs for unique antenna support systems.
  • Review drawings for structural consistency and completeness.
  • Receive and respond to Requests for Information and other duties during project construction phases.
  • Attend site walks to obtain necessary structural information.
  • Keep Track of Time on Projects/Training/Meetings/Etc.
  • Work with Structural Department Program Manager on training and development of junior staff.
  • Complete company required training / policy reviews in a timely manner.

What You Will Need

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • Professional Civil Engineer License in California required.
  • Structural Engineer License in California preferred.
  • 4-8 Years of structural work experience
  • Experience leading engineering staff is a plus
  • Experience using AutoCAD for structural detailing.
  • Experience with structural analysis modeling software (e.g., RISA-3D).
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office programs.
  • Proficiency with Bluebeam Revu required.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
  • The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
  • The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Travel

  • Some travel may be required for this role (up to 10%).
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and be insurable under the company insurance policy.

 

Expected compensation includes 140,000-160,000 per year and benefits including medical, vision, and dental benefits, and 401k retirement plan available for eligible employees. Compensation offered may vary depending on factors such as an individual’s education, training, experience, skills, geographic location, seniority, merit, and other factors that are job related and consistent with business need.
