The Payroll Specialist will support the 3rd party payroll processor and maintain employee time records, including vacation and sick leave records.
What Will You Do
Enters, maintains, and/or processes information in the Company’s payroll system and time system; information may include employees’ hourly rates, salaries, commissions, bonuses or other compensation, time worked, paid leave and holidays, deductions and withholding, address changes, and other information.
Ensures proper processing of payroll deductions for taxes, benefits, and other deductions.
Ensures timecards are entered and approved.
Reconciles payroll to regulatory payroll filings filed by 3rd party
Works with 3rd party to rectify payroll issues due to payroll errors or final discharge.
Able to reconcile and provide payroll information to 3rd party by required deadlines to support processing of employee payroll within the required time for over 100 employees.
Experience with UKG payroll a plus
Experience with and knowledge of local payroll tax laws
Able to work in a fast paced, deadline oriented role with multiple weekly and bi-weekly payrolls.
What You Will Need
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Proficient with Microsoft Excel (xlookups, pivots, formulas).
Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn payroll software.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Three years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping with at least 3 years of experience in payroll.
