The Manager – Acct & Finance will serve as the senior financial leader for the Philippine operations, overseeing all aspects of local accounting, taxation, compliance, and financial management. This position will partner closely with the Country Manager to ensure strong financial discipline and operational excellence, while maintaining a direct functional reporting relationship to the SVP – Accounting in the U.S.

The Manager - Acct & Finance will be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting, compliance with Philippine laws and regulations (including BIR, SEC, DOLE, and other relevant agencies), and maintaining robust internal controls. This hands-on role requires a proactive leader who can guide the local accounting team, manage external auditors and government relationships, and collaborate with U.S. corporate finance on consolidation and group reporting.

What Will You Do

  • Oversee the end-to-end accounting function for the Philippine entity, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and fixed assets.
  • Ensure compliance with all local statutory and tax requirements, including BIR filings, VAT, withholding taxes, annual ITR, and SEC submissions.
  • Lead the monthly and annual financial close and reconciliation process, ensuring timely and accurate submission to U.S. finance for consolidation.
  • Prepare and analyze monthly management reports for both local and global leadership, highlighting performance vs. budget and key financial metrics.
  • Partner with the Country Manager and U.S. SVP – Accounting to develop and monitor annual budgets and forecasts.
  • Oversee payroll accounting and statutory benefits, including 13th month pay, SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, and tax compliance.
  • Manage external audits and coordinate with independent auditors, tax advisors, and government agencies.
  • Implement and maintain internal controls, accounting policies, and financial systems consistent with corporate standards.
  • Serve as the primary finance liaison between Philippine operations and U.S. headquarters.
  • Evaluate and recommend improvements to processes, systems, and policies to support business growth and compliance.
  • Support expansion activities, including new office setup, vendor contracts, and financial modeling.
  • Lead, coach, and develop the local accounting and finance team.

What You Will Need

  • Minimum 8+ years of progressive experience in accounting and finance, including at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA license required.
  • Experience in Philippine statutory accounting and taxation; background in BPO, shared services, or multinational environments strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with U.S. GAAP and group consolidation reporting an advantage.
  • Proficient in ERP systems (e.g., Sage a +) and Microsoft Excel/PowerPoint/Word.
  • Strong understanding of local payroll, labor, and tax compliance laws.
  • Proven ability to manage cross-functional relationships and communicate effectively with U.S.-based leadership.
  • Experience working with external auditors and regulatory bodies (BIR, SEC, etc.).
